Let’s start with congratulating soL readers’ May 1st. I congratulate all friends and hope the ones struggled enormously to reach Taksim and never gave up to various assaults but injured and put under surveillance, recover soon.

All left movement of Turkey, from the biggest organizations to the person alone, have to do multidimensional assessment about May 1st of 2009.

The lines below can be considered as the first notes written in the heat of right after an intense ”feast celebration”. I hope it will contribute to these assessments.

By the week before, we have fully entered into the local elections period. Unless there is an extraordinary development, hereafter we will be involved with the elections.

Elections are not an easy topic for the revolutionaries and even when the two words, revolution and elections, are placed side by side, they appear weird.
